The Armoury, Hong Kong. [November 20th, 2011]

As if any introduction is needed.  It’s no secret that the gentlemen behind The Armoury have managed to set the standard for menswear haberdasheries the world over.   So needless to say, I was chomping at the bit to pay them a visit as soon as I landed in HK.  Of course, the store didn’t disappoint.  Not to mention, they (Alan See, Mark Cho, & Ethan Newton) are an all-around great bunch of people.  It’s really refreshing to see the good guys winning.  Makes you want to climb up on a horse with a 10-gallon hat and six-shooter to join in the fight (more on that later).  Stand out pieces at the store include their Ring Jacket selection, Carmina shoes, and Drake’s of London accessories.  As a friendly suggestion, it might be wise for you to leave at least half of your allotted spending dough at your hotel room before you walk through this store’s doorway.  Men of stronger will than you and I have spent more than they’d intended to.

(keep your eyes on the camel piece on the far right, as it is being prepared for its happy new home)

    Hey Wade,
The 1st photo, the Basted Jackets, were they all clients items waiting to be fitted? Or are they displaying RTW that is just not yet completed?

Colin, I believe the basted jackets are all Liverano & Liverano pieces waiting to be fitted. They are not RTW. It was pretty cool to see the different range of suiting they offer (Liverano, Ring Jacket, WW Chan).

  2. Dear Sir,
    You do a great Job!
    Thank you.
