Leffot x Gaziano & Girling Trunk Show [October 13th, 2011]
The best shoe store in New York meets one of the best shoe brands from the UK. So when I heard Dean Girling was in town showing off some Gaziano & Girling classics and the new Deco range, I knew I had to make a detour over to Leffot. The ever gracious Steven Taffel of Leffot makes it a point to bring-in brands that many of us would not otherwise have access to (without the luxury of a plane ticket). Trunk shows are a great opportunity to meet the hands and faces that bring us the pieces that we’ve long-admired from afar. Today’s was no different. While G&G’s new deco range is on a whole other level, I’m just as big a fan of many of their older shoes (the suede tassel loafer is a personal favorite). As always, made-to-order G&Gs can be picked up by contacting Steven at Leffot. I make no bones about being an unabashed G&G supporter. I mean, just look at these. How could you not be?

Simply put – heaven! I’m left speechless.
Some of them are a little too “NBA” for my taste, but I gotta agree about that suede tassel loafer. One of the few tassel loafers out there that I’d actually consider wearing.
Ha @ NBA. It is interesting to watch the brand develop. I think that having mastered (in my opinion) more classic models, they’re veering into edgier territory that may or may not be for everyone. That said, tassels are all mine!
Email me you email address. I will email you pictures of many new MTO G&G including the navy and black dubs and Deco shoes.
