If you haven’t had the pleasure of discovering New Zealand’s Mark De Clive-Lowe (“MDCL”) yet, you really are in for a special treat.  MDCL is one of the more gifted electronic/soul/broken-beat/whateveryouwanttocallit producers of our age.  As dope as his records are, the magic of the MDCL experience really lies in his live shows.  Programming his beats live, with a circling cast of musicians for back up, I’ve never seen him hit a stage without leaving it smoldering.  MDCL’s latest album “Renegades” is no different.  The opening song, “Get Started,” featuring the legendary Sheila E. & Omar, pretty much lets you know they are serious about making you have a good time.  “Renegades” is money well-spent, but do yourself a favor and catch Mark whenever he’s in your town.
